The restaurant was originally a poolroom, but has now been converted into a select dining area with places for approximately thirty people.
The Stanley Arms enjoys an excellent reputation for good food and drink in a warm and friendly atmosphere. We believe this to be one of the reasons for regular groups of people, returning, time after time, to enjoy the delights of our restaurant and the fine food served there.
Our reputation for fine food has spread to the surrounding towns of Congleton, Macclesfield, Buxton and Leek. We are pleased to say that many of these people are returning to further sample the delights on offer on the menu, and we even enjoy annual visits from people as far away as New Zealand, New York and the Bahamas.
We cater for large family occasions in the restaurant, such as weddings, funerals, birthdays and any other special occasions. We can also provide the setting for that intimate dinner for two, that table for four or six, to enjoy that meal that you have been talking about for months.
Enjoy Appetising Menus at the Stanley Arms
The pub is well known for Duck and Lamb and is particularly busy on Sundays for its roast meals. Customers particularly favour Bottom of the Oven Lamb, a shoulder of lamb, glazed in red currant jelly & herbs and slowly roasted and served with a rich red wine sauce. This meal is so popular that customers book it weeks in advance.
The Stanley Arms offers a traditional dining experience to cater for all tastes.
Sunday lunch is served all day with usually 3 / 4 roast meats available and an additional option of a fish or vegetarian dish.
Our a la carte menu is available every evening offering a selection of dishes. We always try to use local produce and offer vegetarian options in addition to our standard menu and special board.
Our speciality is ‘Bottom of the Oven Lamb’, a quarter shoulder, glazed with redcurrant jelly and herbs, slowly roasted and served with a rich red wine sauce.
Our lunch time menu includes light bites and sandwiches together with traditional meals, home made pies and desserts etc. Our food is freshly prepared and our specials board; changes on a regular basis.
