Delicious Food, Real Ales & Luxury Accommodation Await. Routes Can Start Here, End Here Or Just Have a Break

Walking and rambling groups visit the Stanley Arms Hotel on a regular basis. The Stanley Arms, in the Peak District National Park, is surrounded by breathtaking countryside, within the boundary of Macclesfield Forest and its associated reservoirs.

The Forest and surrounding district has walks to suit everyone, from country hikes to a gentle stroll. You can use us a starting or finishing point for a walk and take advantage of our luxury accommodation. Or use us as a stopping off point, time to rest and recharge your batteries with some delicious food.

Nearby is Forest Chapel, an 18th century church called St Stephens, but everyone calls it Forest Chapel. It is located in a small hamlet (under Toot Hill) that has remnants of an ancient village. You’ll pass the Forest Gin Distillery on the way and you can treat yourself to a gin and tonic deep in the woods. The Forest Distillery is a unique 17th century barn, nestled 1,200ft above sea level within the beautiful Macclesfield Forest in the Peak District National Park.
